We start with a short discussion of responsible riding, practice a few skill-building drills on the bikes, and finally take a short ride with some hills. I hope you'll take away some lessons to practice, a feeling of improvement, and enjoy a nice bike ride!
The pace and technical rating of the ride are beginner -- no pressure here! Some participants have never ridden off-road, some just want a slow ride, or a refresher. All are welcome.
When / How to Attend
Please check the calendar for specific dates. If you would like to attend the class, please RSVP the instructor. This is not a large class; student attendance varies from 1-6 people, but there is no "cap" on class size. Repeat attendance is welcomed. Please contact Mike Gracy, or call 925-459-5026.You must bring a helmet, a bicycle in good working order, and water. We try to supply Cliff bars and Sobe drinks from our sponsors, but I can't guarantee this. So, a snack to munch on during the ride isn't a bad idea. The class is free, but we certainly welcome donations to our organization. A $25 donation supports BTCEB advocacy efforts and programs like this class -- plus you get a year's membership to a great mountain bike club!
A Few Rules Must be Observed
All riders must wear a helmet.Bring water and some energy food (Power Bars, Clif Bars, etc).
Rain the day of or before may cancel the class.
