The NorCal High School Mountain Bike League works to establish and maintain safe, quality high school mountain bike programs. The league is responsible for establishing a climate that will:

  1. Provide students who have the desire to mountain bike with the coaching and camaraderie that will help them achieve both competitive and non-competitive cross-country mountain biking goals in a safe and enjoyable manner
  2. Develop an awareness of what it is to be an amateur athlete that is both gracious and respectful to their community
  3. Create an environment in which they may discover new friendships and find role models
  4. Guide students towards learning new skills and disciplines, and spread the foundations of mountain bike racing across the U.S.
  5. Foster a responsible attitude toward the use of trails and wilderness
  6. Promote the value of cycling to our community as a mode of transportation and as a life long sport

Top 10 Reasons to Support NorCal Racing

1. Because these kids are better-looking & better-mannered than you; they are our sport's best ambassadors.

2. Because there's a 15-year-old out there who can kick your ass, but can't afford a decent pair of bike shoes.

3. Because there are a lot of scary freaking things out there that teenagers could get into, and poison oak isn't one of them.

4. Because some of these kids could have been quarterbacks and cheerleaders, but they chose to be mountain bikers instead.

kids5. Because most of these kids would never be quarterbacks or cheerleaders, but mountain biking is proud to have them.

6. Because you probably can't match the thousands of volunteer hours each of these coaches put in, but you can part with 50 bucks.

7. Because 100% of your donation will go to NorCal teams -- and by giving through BTCEB, you help the club speak with a strong, unified voice for mountain bike advocacy.

8. Because you've got the holiday spirit and/or you're into the whole end-of-the-year-tax-deduction thing.

9. Because someday, you will get lost, bust your chain, lose your tools, and run out of water miles from home. At night. In the rain. And when that day comes, you will need all the good karma you can get.

10. Because it's as easy as clicking the link right NOW!
